P1. CCCA-BTP - COMITE DE CONCERTATION ET DE COORDINATION DE L’APPRENTISSAGE DU BATIMENT ET DES TRVAUX PUBLICS, France

The CCCA-BTP is a French professional organisation in charge of co-ordinating the apprenticeship of the construction industry professions. It leads a network of 100 training centres proposing alternance trainings in companies and in training centres of apprenticeship (called CFA-BTP). Main employers and employee’s representative federations of the construction industry at national level jointly manage the CCCA-BTP. The French government is also represented within the Board Committee.
The scope of the CCCA-BTP activities relates to the initial vocational alternance training of youngsters to the age of 26. More than 100 diplomas, delivered by the Ministry of Education, are proposed by the training centres members of the CCCA-BTP in 22 professions of the sector.

P2. FORMATION PME LIEGE, Belgium

Formation PME Liège - Huy - Waremme is a training centre proposing a complete range of courses, from basic to on-the-job trainings in almost all building fields. Formation PME offers, among others, trainings to young people from the age of 15. Formation PME also organises trainings in management dedicated to adults who wish to learn a job and plan to become self-employed.
Moreover, Formation PME sets up continuous training activities, offering self-employed people as well as workers or employees the opportunity to attend retraining sessions, on-the-job trainings and to improve their knowledge and abilities in several fields (management, data processing, languages, technical trainings...). Regarding the construction sector, Formation PME has created, together with the related employers’ organisations, two training centres specialized in particular sectors of construction: CEFORTEC and EMEC.

P3. BZB - BILDUNGSZENTREN DES BAUGEWERBES EV, Germany

The Bildungszentren des Baugewerbes e. V., the BZB, with its head office in Krefeld near Düsseldorf are a multifunctional training facility for supplementary vocational training in the construction sector.
With European and international partnerships, projects and network participations the vocational training’s orientation of the BZB into new business areas and dimensions has been highly successful.
Besides these important activities the vocational training of apprentices on behalf of the building companies is still given top priority.
Also in the future the BZB will contribute in terms of quality and innovation to ensure the supplementary vocational training being and remaining a supporting pillar in the human resources development of the building companies.

P4. FLC - FUNDACION LABORAL DE LA CONSTRUCCION ASTURIAS, Spain

Construction Labour Foundation of the Principality of Asturias (FLC) is an equality-based non-profit making welfare organisation, whose scope extends to the entire construction sector in the Principality of Asturias, and whose beneficiaries are all the companies and workers of the said sector.
This organisation working for the building sector develops several activities: training and investigation, provisions and assistance services, innovative projects and social projection. It is a permanent bet for the future of workers and employers in the building sector.
This school has two teaching centres, one located in Ribera de Arriba (since 1991) and another in Gijón (since 1995), apart from other temporary installations that are prepared depending on annual requirements. The training given goes from on-going training, directed at active workers wishing to update their skills for reasons related to professional improvement; and vocational training, official and for unemployed workers.
FLC has taken part since 1997 in various European and mobility projects getting excellent results and has been honoured by the European Union Council as a Model of Good Practices in the application of European Guidelines for Employment (Helsinki, 1999).

P5. CENTRE INFFO - CENTRE POUR LE DEVELOPPEMENT DE L’INFORMATION SUR LA FORMATION PERMANENTE, France

A resource centre for processing and distributing information in France, Centre INFFO was founded in 1976 by the Prime Minister. Its role is to devise and set up programme of development of information, documentation and studies in the field of continuing vocational training. It is located at the heart of the networks for information on continuing vocational education and training amongst key players and decision-markers.
Centre INFFO has a privileged relationship with the State, with employers and trade union organisations and with training professionals.
It is under the aegis of the Ministry of Employment, Labour and Housing. The missions of the Centre Inffo are, among others, to co-ordinate information and documentation on continuing vocational education and training, to edit and publish periodicals, information documents, technical files and other information tools, to contribute to Government information services, awareness operations and campaigns, provides information on the initiatives and operations of international, national and regional institutions, organises study and information days. Its targets are continuing education and training professionals who train, inform, advise and guide the end users.

P6. CIEP - CENTRE INTERNATIONAL D'ÉTUDES PÉDAGOGIQUES, France

Founded in 1945 and a national public establishment since 1987, the CIEP is renown in France and abroad for its competencies in the field of expertise, training and evaluation, and for its reflection in the field of international cooperation in education. A public establishment of the French Ministry of Education, in close cooperation with numerous partners: both French public and private organizations, as well as sponsors.
Two main missions: To promote French expertise abroad, making France a more attractive option, and to internationalise its education system.
Two principal fields of activity: Education (general, professional and higher) and languages (French and foreign languages, certifications and evaluation).
In running its activities, the CIEP relies on a network of experts and national and international partners, as well as a highly-skilled team of 240 people.
To support its activities, the CIEP relies on a number of information and discussion resources: a unit for hosting foreign delegations, a documentary resource centre and a review called the Revue internationale d’éducation de Sèvres.

P7. CREDIJ - CENTRE RÉGIONAL POUR LE DÉVELOPPEMENT, LA FORMATION ET L’INSERTION DES JEUNES, France

The Centre for Development, Training and Social Inclusion of Youngsters (CREDIJ) has been created in 1983 by the Regional Organisation for vocational training of Haute Normandie (Normandy). The CREDIJ has originally been created as a resources and training centre dedicated to the “Permanences d’Accueil, d’Information et d’Orientation de la Mission locale” (PAIOML) network and as a regional centre for pedagogical support for training organisations. The CREDIJ has produced some studies on the social inclusion of youngsters and the evaluation of the training systems. It has also been a logistical support to the national support unit of APP network.
The missions of the CREDIJ have been reoriented since 1994 when some legal competences have been transferred from the government to the local authorities (regions). It makes qualitative studies on the employment of youngsters, analysis on professional competences in the tertiary sector as well as on the training systems of tutors and trainers. The CREDIJ also has a consultancy and engineering activity in the field of training and evaluation programme.
P8. FORMEDIL - ENTE NAZIONALE PER LA FORMAZIONE E L’ADDESTRAMENTO PROFESSIONALE NELL’EDILIZIA, Italy

The vocational training system for the construction sector is based on a central organization, the National FORMEDIL, articulated in its regional branches Regional FORMEDIL and connecting a network of «Scuole Edili» situated in the various provinces. The vocational training measures are carried out by the territorial building schools according to the needs of the local job market. The building schools, although characterized by organisational and financial autonomy, are coordinated on a national level by the FORMEDIL.

P9. ECAP - ENTRE PER LA FORMAZIONE, LA RIQUALIFICAZIONE PROFESSIONALE E LA RICERCA, Switzerland (Tessin)

The ECAP Foundation is a non-profit charitable institute for adult education and research, which was founded by the Italian labor union CGIL. ECAP has been active in Switzerland since 1970. In 1984, the institute legally became a foundation, entered into an agreement of cooperation with the Swiss Federation of Trade Unions (SGB/USS) and afterwards with the Spanish union Comisiones Obreras as well as the Portuguese union CGTP. The foundation's activities are oriented towards its supporting organizations' values of solidarity and the basic right to education. Its goal is to promote education and training for younger and older adults, especially for migrants and lowly qualified workers in Switzerland, in order to support the private and occupational integration of immigrated persons in our society and to promote the acquisition and strengthening of the cognitive means and knowledge that are useful for leading an autonomous and responsible life in our modern society.

P10. BUDOWLANI - ZWIAZEK ZAWODOWY (Trade Union of building workers), Poland

“Trade Union “Budowlani” (“constructors” in English) was founded in 1991 as a follower and successor to many trade organisations of building workers that had been existing for over 100 years of Polish trade union movement history. The most important task of “Budowlani” Trade Union is the protection of economic interests of trade union members. We aim to establish partnership, tripartite system of collaboration between employees, employers and government structures. One of the elements of this system should be effective mechanism of vocational training.
”Budowlani” is interested in exchanging experiences in the field of workers organisation activity, co-operation in organisation and realisation of various programmes basing on international and own funds.

P11. BYN - BYGGNADSINDUSTRINS YRKESNÄMD (Commission professionnelle du secteur du bâtiment), Sweden

The Swedish Construction Industry Training Board, BYN, is a national body representing employers and employees, which was founded primarily to consolidate, monitor and assure excellent vocational training for the Swedish building and construction trade. The work carried out by the Board is done in collaboration with the Regional Construction Industry Vocational Training Committees, RYK, offering extensive coverage nationwide.
